A day-by-day plan that takes you from zero Italian to a solid A2 level — the point where you can hold everyday conversations, talk about the past, and make plans. Every lesson and exercise on this plan is free.
Thirty days is not enough to become fluent in Italian — anyone who promises that is lying. But thirty days of focused daily study is more than enough to get out of absolute-beginner territory and start speaking in real sentences. This plan covers the grammar that powers roughly 80% of everyday Italian: the verb essere, articles, noun agreement, the present tense, the past tense in both its forms, reflexive verbs, and the pronoun system that makes Italian sound Italian.
Each day focuses on a single topic. Read the lesson (about 10 minutes), then do the 50 exercises (20–30 minutes), and finish by taking the mini-exam. Move on the next day whether or not you feel "perfect" — repetition through later topics will reinforce earlier ones naturally. By Day 30 you’ll have touched every major piece of A1 and A2 grammar, and the site’s B1 and B2 sections will be open to you when you’re ready for the next jump.
You can reach a solid A2 level — enough to hold everyday conversations, order in a restaurant, ask for directions, talk about your day in the past, and express wishes and plans. True fluency takes longer, but 30 days of focused study covers the grammar that makes 80% of daily Italian work.
Plan for 30–45 minutes per day: about 10 minutes reading the lesson, 20–30 minutes doing exercises. If you have more time, redo weaker sections rather than rushing ahead — repetition is what moves grammar from conscious effort to automatic use.
Yes. Every lesson, exercise, and mini-exam linked from this plan is completely free and requires no registration. If you want live 1-on-1 practice, we also offer a €1 trial lesson.
Solid A2 (elementary). You’ll be able to talk about yourself in present, past, and future; use articles, adjectives, and pronouns correctly; ask and answer everyday questions; and understand spoken Italian on familiar topics. The next step would be B1 (intermediate), which this site also covers.
Don’t try to catch up by doing two days at once. Pick up where you left off and keep going. Consistency beats intensity — doing Day 1 once is worth more than doing all 30 days superficially.
