Rule reminder
When an idiom completes a story, it must: (1) fit the emotional tone (triumph, frustration, embarrassment, etc.), (2) be logically consistent with what happened, and (3) feel natural in the mouth of that type of speaker in that situation. Approximate fits are traps.
