Rule reminder
Idioms rarely translate word-for-word between languages. 'Over the moon' → 'al settimo cielo'; 'in a tight spot' → 'alle strette'; 'dead end' → 'vicolo cieco'. The challenge is mapping the meaning, not the words. Always think about what the English expression MEANS, then find the Italian equivalent.
English: 'She was over the moon when she got the job offer.' What is the Italian equivalent?
