Rule reminder

'Quindi' = so/therefore (spoken and written, neutral). 'Pertanto' = therefore/consequently (formal, written). 'Di conseguenza' = as a consequence/as a result (written, formal). 'Perciò' = therefore/that's why (informal/written). All introduce a consequence — the result that follows from the preceding statement.
