Connettivi Logici — Logical Connectors·Concession — sebbene / benché + Subjunctive
💡

Rule reminder

'Sebbene' and 'benché' both mean 'although/even though' and ALWAYS require the SUBJUNCTIVE — no exceptions. They go at the start of the concessive clause. They are more formal than 'anche se' (which takes the indicative).
