Italian word

comprendere

to understand, to include, to comprise

Looks like

to comprehend

to fully understand

⚠️ The trap

The understand meaning is shared. But the include/comprise meaning is very common and important: 'comprendere' in pricing, descriptions, and legal texts always means to include. 'Tutto compreso' = 'all inclusive'.

To say "to fully understand" in Italian:

comprendere is correct

"comprendere" in English means:

to understand, to include, to comprise

Example

"Il prezzo comprende colazione e parcheggio."

"The price includes breakfast and parking."
