Rule reminder
A well-constructed formal Italian essay sentence typically contains: (1) a formal connective or opener, (2) a nominalised subject or formal noun phrase, (3) a formal verb (often passive or impersonal), (4) appropriate use of subjunctive where required, (5) hedging when the claim is not certain. Practicing full-sentence construction is the best preparation for CILS B2 writing tasks.
