Rule reminder

Hedging (attenuazione del giudizio) in formal Italian uses: epistemic modals ('potrebbe', 'sembrerebbe'), impersonal structures ('si potrebbe sostenere che', 'è plausibile che'), subjunctive after uncertainty verbs, and adverbs of approximation ('presumibilmente', 'verosimilmente', 'in larga parte'). Hedging is not weakness — it is academic precision. Overstating ('sicuramente', 'certamente', 'è ovvio') in argumentation can be seen as simplistic.
