Rule reminder
Absolute constructions summary: 1) Participio passato assoluto (temporal/causal): 'Finita la riunione, tutti partirono'. 2) Gerundio assoluto and 'pur + gerundio' (concessive/causal). 3) Fixed expressions: detto questo, tutto sommato, vista la situazione, premesso che. 4) Legal absolutes: visto, considerato, rilevato, atteso che. 5) Negation: 'non + participle'. 6) Agreement: participle agrees with noun in the absolute phrase.
