Rule reminder

Sebbene and benché are conjunctions that require the SUBJUNCTIVE. Nonostante can take the subjunctive (nonostante che + subj.) or be followed by a noun/infinitive (nonostante + noun, nonostante + infinitive). Pur + gerund is another concessive structure. Tuttavia and ciononostante are adverbs — they do NOT govern verb mood.
