Confirm your payment method before settling the bill. While most Italian hotels accept cards, it is always good to verify.
'Posso pagare' (can I pay) uses 'potere' in first person. 'Con la carta di credito' = with the credit card. You can also say 'con carta' as a shorter form. 'Carta di debito' = debit card. The expression 'POS' (point of sale terminal) is used in Italian exactly as in English.
