Rule reminder

Hedging (attenuazione) makes arguments more scholarly and less dogmatic. Key structures: 'è possibile che + congiuntivo' (it is possible that), 'si potrebbe sostenere che + congiuntivo' (one could argue that), 'non è escluso che + congiuntivo' (it cannot be ruled out that), 'sembra che + congiuntivo' (it seems that), 'è probabile che + congiuntivo', 'potrebbe essere che + congiuntivo'. These all require the subjunctive in Italian.
