Formal Italian business correspondence uses: (1) 'Egr. Sig.' / 'Spett.le' for salutation, (2) 'Con riferimento a' / 'In merito a' for subject reference, (3) 'Si comunica che' / 'Si informa che' for stating information, (4) 'In attesa di un Suo riscontro' for closing, (5) 'Distinti saluti' / 'Cordiali saluti' for sign-off.
