Rule reminder
Academic Italian abstracts are written almost entirely in nominal style. Key features: (1) nominalisations as subjects and objects, (2) passive voice to foreground results over researchers, (3) formal prepositional phrases to introduce methodology and scope, (4) noun chains with multiple 'di' to express complex relationships, (5) avoidance of first-person ('noi abbiamo' → 'il presente studio ha').
