Rule reminder

To transform a sentence from verbal to nominal style: (1) identify the main verb and convert it to a noun, (2) replace conjunctions with formal prepositional phrases, (3) use passive or impersonal constructions, (4) replace relative clauses with past participles or noun phrases, (5) replace adverb clauses with prepositional noun phrases. The goal is maximum formality with minimum words.
