Rule reminder

Italian adjectives form nouns through several suffixes: -ità (from adjectives ending in -e or -o: diverso → la diversità, importante → l'importanza), -ezza (from adjectives ending in -o: bello → la bellezza, grande → la grandezza), -anza/-enza (importante → l'importanza, differente → la differenza). The resulting nouns are abstract and typical of formal, academic, and official Italian.
