Rule reminder

'Nel momento in cui' (the moment when / at the moment that) is a formal conjunction taking the indicativo. 'Una volta che' (once) expresses that something is completed and a new situation begins — it takes the indicativo (present, future, or past). Both mark a specific turning point in time.
