Rule reminder

Use 'come' + indicative when the comparison is real and factual: Fallo come vuoi. (Do it the way you want.) Use 'come se' + congiuntivo imperfetto/trapassato when the comparison is unreal, hypothetical, or contrary to reality: Lo tratta come se fosse un bambino. (She treats him as if he were a child — but he is not.)
