Rule reminder
In complex sentences, exceptive clauses can be nested within other subordinate clauses (relative, temporal, causal). The subjunctive is maintained in the exceptive clause regardless of the surrounding clause type. Sequence of tenses still applies.
Mi sembra che il progetto ___ ben avviato, ___ non ___ delle difficoltà finanziarie che non conosciamo.
