Italian word

ricordare

to remember, to remind

Looks like

to record

to capture audio/video, to document

⚠️ The trap

The 'cord' root (Latin cor = heart) gives 'ricordare' = to bring back to heart = to remember. To record a video say 'registrare un video'. Completely different words.

To say "to capture audio/video, to document" in Italian:

registrare (for to record audio/video)

"ricordare" in English means:

to remember, to remind

Example

"Ricordo ancora quella vacanza con gioia."

"I still remember that holiday with joy."
