Italian word

lieve

slight, mild, gentle

Looks like

live

to be alive; or (adjective) not recorded — performed in real time

⚠️ The trap

'Lieve' = slight/mild. It looks like 'live' but has nothing to do with life or living. 'Un lieve miglioramento' = 'a slight improvement'. For live (the verb) use 'vivere'; for live (broadcast) use 'in diretta'.

To say "to be alive; or (adjective) not recorded — performed in real time" in Italian:

vivere (to live); lieve (slight/mild)

"lieve" in English means:

slight, mild, gentle

Example

"Ho sentito un lieve dolore alla schiena."

"I felt a slight pain in my back."
