Italian word

esito

result, outcome, success

Looks like

exit

a way out; to leave

⚠️ The trap

'Esito' means 'result/outcome', NOT 'exit'. 'Exit' in Italian is 'uscita'. Signs for emergency exits say 'USCITA DI EMERGENZA', never 'esito di emergenza'.

To say "a way out; to leave" in Italian:

uscita (for exit); esito → result/outcome

"esito" in English means:

result, outcome, success

Example

"Aspettiamo l'esito degli esami."

"We are waiting for the results of the tests."
