Italian word

cura

care, treatment; a medical cure or course of treatment

Looks like

cure

a remedy that ends a disease; to treat successfully

⚠️ The trap

In Italian 'cura' means a course of treatment or medical care — it does NOT guarantee a cure in the English sense of permanent elimination. 'Una cura di antibiotici' = a course of antibiotics. To say someone was definitively cured, use 'è guarito'.

To say "a remedy that ends a disease; to treat successfully" in Italian:

cura (medical treatment, not necessarily a definitive cure)

"cura" in English means:

care, treatment; a medical cure or course of treatment

Example

"Il medico mi ha prescritto una cura di antibiotici."

"The doctor prescribed me a course of antibiotics."
