When to use it

Mini Dialogue

— Il tavolino non si abbassa. Può aiutarmi? — Vediamo. Deve premere il bottoncino qui sul lato e tirare giù. — Ah, non lo avevo visto. Grazie! — Prego. Stia attento, a volte scatta di colpo.

— The tray table won't fold down. Can you help me? — Let's see. You need to press the small button here on the side and pull down. — Ah, I hadn't seen it. Thank you! — You're welcome. Be careful, it sometimes snaps open suddenly.

Cultural Note

On older Italian regional aircraft, tray tables and other cabin fittings can be worn — Italian cabin crew are generally resourceful and will find a workaround or move you to another seat.
