Can you send someone to the room for a technical issue?
'Qualcuno' — stress the second syllable: 'qual-CU-no'. 'Tecnico' — stress the first syllable: 'TEC-ni-co'.
Use when there is a technical problem in your room — broken air conditioning, TV not working, plumbing issues, etc.
'Mandare qualcuno' = 'to send someone'. 'Per un problema tecnico' = 'for a technical issue'. Italian hotels have maintenance staff (manutentori) on call. This phrase is polite and direct.
Il condizionatore non funziona.
The air conditioning is not working.
States the specific problem
Il televisore non si accende.
The television does not turn on.
TV problem
C'è un problema con l'acqua calda.
There is a problem with the hot water.
Plumbing issue
In Italy, it is perfectly acceptable to call reception multiple times for room issues — guests are expected to report problems promptly. Staff will not consider it rude. Mentioning the room number proactively speeds things up.
