Rule reminder
In a formal Italian argumentative text (testo argomentativo), opinions are introduced with high-register expressions such as 'ritengo che', 'sono convinto che', 'a mio avviso', 'a mio modo di vedere', 'a parere mio', 'si ritiene che'. These are always followed by the subjunctive when the subject changes, or by a noun/infinitive phrase. Colloquial forms like 'secondo me' or 'penso che' are acceptable in speech but too informal for CILS B2 writing.
