Rule reminder

Italian bureaucratic and legal style employs fixed prepositional phrases that would be expressed more simply in everyday speech: 'in seguito a' (after/following), 'ai fini di' (for the purposes of), 'a causa di' (due to), 'in virtù di' (by virtue of), 'a fronte di' (in light of/against), 'in merito a' (regarding), 'con riferimento a' (with reference to), 'in relazione a' (in relation to). These phrases typically precede nominalised forms.
