Rule reminder
Synonyms are not interchangeable in terms of connotation. 'Determinato' (determined — positive) vs 'testardo' (stubborn — negative) describe the same personality trait from different perspectives. Similarly: 'frugale' (frugal — positive/neutral) vs 'avaro' (stingy — negative); 'curioso' (curious — positive) vs 'ficcanaso' (nosy — negative); 'audace' (bold/daring — positive) vs 'temerario' (reckless — negative). Choosing the wrong connotation changes the entire meaning of a sentence.
Laura è molto _____: non smette mai di perseguire i suoi obiettivi, anche quando tutti la sconsigliano.
