Rule reminder

Medical Italian has precise register markers: 'il paziente lamenta' (the patient complains of), 'si riscontra' (it is observed / there is found), 'è stata diagnosticata' (has been diagnosed), 'si prescrive' (it is prescribed), 'l'esame obiettivo rivela' (physical examination reveals). Scientific writing uses impersonal constructions and technical vocabulary to maintain objectivity.
