"Quand'anche" means "even if" and is used in literary/formal Italian for hypothetical or contrary-to-fact concession. It is typically followed by the imperfect subjunctive (for present/future hypotheticals) or the past perfect subjunctive (for past hypotheticals), paired with the conditional in the main clause. It is interchangeable with "anche se" + conditional/subjunctive in formal register.
