Rule reminder
Italian allows double hypothetical conditions: 'Se fossi arrivato prima e avessi parlato con lui, tutto sarebbe andato diversamente.' Both se-clauses use the same tense (congiuntivo trapassato for type 3, congiuntivo imperfetto for type 2). The apodosis responds to both conditions together.
Se _____ prima e _____ con lei, forse avreste trovato un accordo.
