Rule reminder

Modal verbs can be used impersonally with 'si': si deve/si può (present), si doveva/si poteva (imperfect — past habit or unfulfilled duty), si dovrà/si potrà (future — obligation/possibility), si dovrebbe/si potrebbe (conditional — polite suggestion or possibility), si avrebbe dovuto/si sarebbe potuto (past conditional — regret or missed opportunity). The infinitive always follows the modal in its base form.
