Rule reminder
Absolute constructions can be expanded into subordinate clauses. Temporal absolutes → 'dopo che + past perfect' or 'una volta che + past'. Causal absolutes → 'poiché/dato che/siccome + past'. The result is less formal but more explicit.
Rewrite each sentence by converting the absolute construction into an explicit subordinate clause (temporal with 'dopo che' or causal with 'poiché/dato che'). Keep the meaning as close as possible.
