Rule reminder

Causal connectives explain why something happens (poiché, in quanto, giacché, dato che). Consecutive connectives introduce the result or logical consequence (pertanto, di conseguenza, quindi, dunque). Register matters: 'giacché' and 'laddove' are very formal; 'siccome' and 'visto che' are more neutral.
