Advanced Subjunctive — Congiuntivo Avanzato·Subjunctive vs Indicative — Meaning Contrast
💡

Rule reminder

Some verbs change meaning depending on whether they take subjunctive or indicative: 'pensare che' + subjunctive = to think/believe (uncertainty); 'sapere che' + indicative = to know (fact); 'dire che' + subjunctive = to tell someone to (order); 'dire che' + indicative = to say that (information). The choice of mood fundamentally changes what is being expressed.
