Rule reminder
A cohesive text uses reference, substitution, ellipsis, conjunction, and lexical cohesion to link sentences smoothly. A non-cohesive text has: unnecessary repetition of full noun phrases where pronouns would work; inconsistent reference (unclear what a pronoun refers to); abrupt topic shifts without signals; overuse of demonstratives; missing connectives. At B2 level, being able to identify and correct cohesion problems is essential for writing.
Which version is more cohesive? (A) 'Ho letto il testo. Il testo era interessante. Il testo aveva molti esempi.' (B) 'Ho letto il testo. Era interessante e aveva molti esempi.'
