Italian word
narratore
narrator (in a story or film)
Looks like
narrator
same — the voice that tells a story
⚠️ The trap
Same word. But Italian 'narratore' is also used for an oral storyteller (a griot-style figure), while in English 'narrator' is almost exclusively literary/cinematic. In Italian 'un bravo narratore' = someone who tells good stories in conversation.
To say "same — the voice that tells a story" in Italian:
narratore (correct)
"narratore" in English means:
narrator (in a story or film)
Example
"Il narratore della storia è inaffidabile — non si può credere a tutto ciò che dice."
"The story's narrator is unreliable — you can't believe everything he says."
