Italian word

pareggio

break-even; a draw/tie in sport; balance (of a budget)

Looks like

parity

the state of being equal, especially in pay or status

⚠️ The trap

'Pareggio' in accounting means break-even (revenues = costs). In sport it means a draw. 'Parità' is equality/parity. Do not confuse them in financial reporting.

To say "the state of being equal, especially in pay or status" in Italian:

pareggio (break-even/draw); parità (parity/equality)

"pareggio" in English means:

break-even; a draw/tie in sport; balance (of a budget)

Example

"L'azienda ha raggiunto il pareggio dopo tre anni di perdite."

"The company reached break-even after three years of losses."
