net (after deductions); clear, clean

Looks like

net (financial)

remaining after deductions; a mesh/network; the internet (informal)

⚠️ The trap

Largely equivalent in financial contexts. Note that 'netto' also means 'clean/sharp' in everyday Italian (taglio netto = clean cut), which has no financial connotation.

To say "remaining after deductions; a mesh/network; the internet (informal)" in Italian:

netto (net/after tax); lordo (gross)

"netto" in English means:

net (after deductions); clear, clean

Example

"Il suo stipendio netto è di duemila euro al mese."

"His net salary is two thousand euros per month."
