Moglie is the standard word for wife. Sposa (bride/wife) is used in wedding and more romantic contexts. Note that moglie has an irregular plural: mogli (not *mogli). Mia moglie does NOT take an article.
Mia moglie è professoressa di italiano alle medie.
My wife is an Italian teacher at middle school.
Il marito e la moglie si sono conosciuti all'università.
The husband and wife met at university.
