'Maturo' refers to emotional/psychological maturity. 'Assennato' means sensible, level-headed. 'Saggio' implies wisdom. 'Equilibrato' means well-balanced. 'Adulto' is simply the physical/legal adult. 'Puerile' and 'infantile' (antonyms) both mean childish.
