'Competenze' = kom-pe-TEN-tseh. Four syllables; the final 'e' is pronounced.
Use this in an initial skills assessment meeting or when your supervisor asks what you already know. It sets realistic expectations and opens a dialogue about where training is needed.
'Acquisito' (acquired) sounds more professional than 'imparato' (learned) in a workplace context. It implies practical application rather than just theoretical knowledge. Using 'finora' (so far) leaves room for further growth.

Italian employers appreciate honesty about skill levels. Over-claiming abilities is quickly exposed and damages credibility. Being clear about what you know and eager to learn the rest is the ideal presentation strategy.
