Rule reminder

When a perception verb introduces reported speech, use: L'ho sentito dire che + indicativo (indirect speech). This reports what someone said. Compare: L'ho sentito dire che era stanco (I heard him say he was tired) vs L'ho visto fare come se fosse ubriaco (I saw him acting as if he were drunk — subjunctive after 'come se').
