Rule reminder
'Finché non' = until. The 'non' is NOT a negation — it is a formal marker of the temporal boundary (the endpoint). The verb after 'finché non' is in the indicativo. The main clause action continues up to and until the subordinate event occurs. Do not confuse with 'finché' (as long as — continuous parallel condition, no endpoint).
