Rule reminder

-zione/-sione and -mento are both used to form action nouns from verbs, but they attach to different verb classes. -zione is most common with verbs ending in -are and -ire (approvazione, decisione); -mento tends to attach to -are and -ire verbs too (miglioramento, raggiungimento). Many verbs allow only one or the other — learn them as vocabulary.
