Rule reminder

Legal Italian uses specialised impersonal constructions: 'si stabilisce che' (it is established that), 'si dispone che' (it is ordered/stipulated that), 'si vieta di + infinitive' (it is forbidden to), 'è fatto obbligo di + infinitive' (it is obligatory to), 'è fatto divieto di + infinitive' (it is prohibited to), 'si prescrive che' (it is prescribed that), 'si prevede che' (it is provided/anticipated that). After 'si stabilisce che', 'si dispone che', 'si prevede che' — subjunctive (prescriptive) or indicative (descriptive). 'Si vieta di' and 'è fatto obbligo di' take the infinitive directly.
