Advanced subjunctive mastery requires: (1) correct tense selection (presente, passato, imperfetto, trapassato), (2) strict tense sequencing with past and conditional main clauses, (3) recognition of all triggering expressions, (4) correct use in hypotheticals (type 2 and 3), (5) awareness of formal vs informal register differences.
