Rule reminder
GLI piace/piacciono can mean 'he likes' OR 'they like'. Context makes it clear. For formal writing, 'loro piace' is used for 'they like', but 'gli piace' is very common in spoken Italian.
The tourists like the city. → Ai turisti ___ piace la città.
