Rule reminder

C'è = there is (existence). È = is/are (description or identity). Example: C'è un gatto. (There is a cat. — it exists here.) Il gatto è bello. (The cat is beautiful. — description.) Il gatto è sul divano. (The cat is on the sofa. — location of a specific cat.)
