Italian word

volere

to want, to wish, to require

Looks like

valor / volume

valor = great courage; volume = quantity or loudness

⚠️ The trap

'Volere' = to want. Don't confuse with 'volume' or 'valore' (value/valor). 'Ci vuole' = it takes/requires (a special construction: 'ci vogliono due ore' = it takes two hours).

To say "valor = great courage; volume = quantity or loudness" in Italian:

volere (to want); valore (valor/value); volume (volume)

"volere" in English means:

to want, to wish, to require

Example

"Voglio imparare l'italiano."

"I want to learn Italian."
